Knoxville is home to the University of Tennessee. Knoxvillians love the University and they especially love the U.T. Volunteer football team. They are so enthusiastic about college football that even someone that doesn't like football would enjoy a U.T. home game.

Knoxville has a temperate climate and is especially beautiful in the spring when the dogwoods are in bloom and in the fall when the sky is a gorgeous blue, the air is crisp, and the leaves have turned a brilliant hue.

Knoxville is made up of many residential neighborhoods but locals usually speak of North, South, East, West Knoxville and Downtown. Most of the museums, art galleries, shopping, and hotels are centered Downtown, around the University of Tennessee campus, and in West Knoxville. Most of the growth in recent years has been on the west end of town, although the downtown areas of Old City and along the Riverfront have been renovated in recent years with trendy lofts, boutiques, restaurants, and a beautiful walkway along the river.

Service runs Monday through Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm, depending upon which route you want to take. There is a Late Line Trolley that runs on Friday and Saturday from 8:00pm - 2:00am during the normal school year.
